Don’t ask me why… but I got an e-mail from the Mozilla team and they put my theme up in the fully open area of the website. Weird, considering, a week ago I got the official removal notice. Not sure what the deal is, but for now its up and running. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8247 Download it, and tell your friends. To get my theme approved by Mozilla I actually have to have approval from the UT System, pretty official approval with contact numbers etc… So if any of you kids know someone in ITS that could help me get that, it would be awesome, otherwise my theme returns to the sandbox where it will never get the same exposure. (It is currently semi-out of experimental and has been picked up by other software sites like softpedia. So getting it fully going would be great) Link to Theme can be found in sidebar > Firefox Themes I have a break in my schedule and got some time to work on this Firefox University of Texas Theme. (For the download link see my sidebar) But I need some more ideas for it.
So far all I have update is I have gotten rid of the slightly sac-religious Horns symbol turned sideways in the back button and replaced it with a regular logo which looks a lot better in my opinion. Also I have added the coloring to the ’small’ icon layout, and the ‘flipped’ layout so some people who like to use firefox in different ways will be able to use this template. I do need to do some testing on mac versions and linux so post in the comments if you would like to help me there. I will just send you a file that you drag into your add-ons folder and then tell me if it works or not. OKAY, SO IDEAS AWAY. Just remember, I’m keeping it clean and professional so it can be used in work or wherever, not blatant and out there like the FF 2 theme some people used. The non-mac / linux users can try out .2 here : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/details/8247 You won’t notice any difference beyond the logo change, but there are changes underneath. These are my first themes for Firefox which you can find more info about in the sidebar link. But here is the download for the University of Texas one : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8247 (you will have to log-in since this is an experimental theme) also, if you would like please submit a review that way I can pull this out of the mozilla sandbox and throw it up as a standard theme for download. Thanks. Preview image : Both themes are not a huge update just injecting a little bit of flavor into the theme. For the Dream.In.Code Version check it in the sidebar, its still earlier in the testing phase so I haven’t uploaded it to Mozilla yet. Welcome to the Theme center…. I discontinued the code-dreamer theme for now… just no time to work on it or improve and since it wasn’t stable enough to release I pulled it. The UT longhorns theme however, is at version 1.0 and can be run on FF 3. XP is the only tested platform but it is close to working on the others as well.
