Great mess up of the day :

Sean Connery was heavily pursued to play Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but declined because he ‘didn’t understand them’ and had never read the books. At one point in the proceedings he was offered up to 15% of the worldwide box off receipts…. In case you were wondering how the movie did… that would have been $400 million in the bank.
